I envision a world where everyone has a home, a place where people feel they belong within a community and are secure, and  a family they can always run to and be comforted.

 

 

Richida Pokuaa Gyimah is an aspiring data analyst studying management information systems at Ashesi University. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. She is currently the co-founder of fruits on wheels which started as a passion project in 2020. She sees her company growing into a big food processing company and providing support to the less privileged in her community. She is a master's student studying Business Analytics at Arizona State University under the ASU's International Accelerated Degree Program (IADP) in the 4+1 model. As an individual passionate about youth empowerment, Richida has served as a member of the Coaching, Counseling, Advising, and Peer Support team(CCAPs) at Ashesi, where she provides coaching sessions to her assigned coaches with issues of depression, stress, and relationships.

Richida has worked as the General Secretary for the academic committee of the student council in the 2019/2020 academic year. She joined the MasterCard Welfare committee and helped the committee plan for the scholar's giveback day, also known as "Huduma Day." Due to her commitment and experience as a committee member, she was appointed as the welfare committee chairperson the following year, where she delivered excellently. Richida believes that success is possible for everyone, irrespective of their background. She enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling at her leisure.
