I envision a world where people have the chance to dream and are capable of harnessing frontier technology to solve most of the problems in Africa.

Alhassan Hassan is a senior at Ashesi University, majoring in Computer Science. He is also pursuing a Master's in Information Technology at Arizona State University through the International Accelerated Degree Program (IADP).

Data have become the single source of truth. Hassan believes that if data is protected and exposed to proper analysis, it will represent the foundation for developing visible solutions to contemporary problems for businesses. This is what peaked his interest in Trustworthy Data, Data Science, and Data Security. In 2020 and 2021, he interned as a Software Engineer at Pejrock Media Consult and KrownPay. Hassan believes that if Africa wants to wake up to the development it aspires, then more effort should be geared towards equipping the youth with frontier technology. In contributing to this agenda, he volunteered as a tutor in the CodeForAll program, where he taught senior high students basic technology and programming skills like Web Development and problem-solving. He also currently serves as the Vice President of CodeTheChange, which is geared toward exposing students in rural areas to frontier technology and supporting their ideas. Over the years, Hassan has learned that it is hard to dream while surviving. He believes that every person should have the chance to dream and work toward their dreams. His goal is to use his talents, passion, and influence to provide an avenue for aspiring future changemakers the chance to dream and pursue their goals.
