Being a Mastercard Foundation Scholar means being a changemaker and a leader in my community. Obtaining a degree from a reputable academic institution like ASU will enhance those characteristics. It is my ultimate goal to positively impact other people's lives in my community--especially young people.

Wandile Nhlabatsi is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar from Swaziland in his senior year at Arizona State University. He is majoring in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computational Mathematical Sciences. He is passionate about solving complex problems using mathematics and computer science. His areas of interest include data modelling and reinsurance. In June 2017 he did an internship with the world’s second largest reinsurer company Swiss Re, in its Cape Town offices. He wants to pursue a career in reinsurance.
