Being a Mastercard Foundation Scholar means being one of the talented and ambitious students who has dreams to change the society.

David Okinyi (Kenya) is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at Arizona State University pursuing a double major in Economics and Business (Global Politics). He has taken leadership roles and serves as the Vice-President of African Students at ASU to create awareness on Africa in ASU. He was also elected to be the senator of Liberal arts college to represent approximately 22,000 students. He has a deep love to serve. He is motivated to work in any work environment and give back to the society at large. He is, therefore, a co-founder of Give a Hand program with a team of other six Mastercard Foundation Scholars in ASU. The program currently sponsors two high school students in Kenya.
