I am joining efforts in developing cures for fatal diseases like AIDS, improving diagnostics and treatment efficacy for Tuberculosis and Malaria worldwide, but more specifically in the African continent. I desire to be part of the solution to the ancient healthcare problem on the African continent by spreading awareness about prevention and cure of diseases, conducting scientific research, pharmaceutical trade, and promoting informative health care - creative arts.

 

 

Amani holds a Certificate in Basic Computer Operations from Open University of Tanzania, a Diploma in Entrepreneurial Leadership and African Studies from African Leadership Academy (ALA), a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a Minor in Business from ASU and is pursuing a Master of Science in Medicinal Biochemistry at ASU.During the 2013 summer, Amani interned with NET Pharmacy Ltd in Tanzania, worked as Assistant Stock Manager, and developed a passion for drug designing and pharmaceuticals. In summer 2015, he interned with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and participated in research for Leishmaniasis vaccine. He is a recipient of the Fall 2017 Moeur Award for highest academic standing upon graduation with a BS in Biochemistry from ASU, was named ASU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) Leader, placed on the ASU – CLAS dean’s list throughout his undergraduate college career for academic excellence, and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Amani aspires to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and hopes to join efforts in developing the cure for AIDS, and spreading awareness about the prevention and cure of other fatal diseases through scientific research, pharmaceutical trade, and creative arts. Amani likes doing music in addition to his science career. He plays guitar, among other instruments, and sings.
