6I envision a world where more sustainable energy forms are utilized in an effort to reduce environmental pollution, improving the lives of people.
David Manford is a graduate student, research, and active member of the National Society of Black Engineers ASU chapter. David previously participated in a design project which presents solar powered street lights as a solution to a lack of light resources in his community. His most recent work involves research investigating the heat of combustion of biomass pellets to provide an economical and alternate form of energy under the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI). At an innovation competition David and his team presented the memory glass, a smart elderly care concept to help Alzheimer's patients. He also plans to explore entrepreneurship to positively impact society and remains committed to social responsibilities with the view of being a role model to future generations.
