I envision a world where there is fairness and equity.

Aware of the challenges people living with disabilities face, Ermyntrude is driven to change the status quo through rehabilitation engineering, prosthetics and orthotics. From manufacturing robots from scratch as an intern at Robocon Egypt to troubleshooting medical equipment as a clinical engineering intern, Ermyntrude has gained much experience as a team player and enjoys participation. As the first female president of her departmental society, the Biomedical Engineering Students’ Society in KNUST, she spearheaded the organisation of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration and renewal for the entire student populace. Her love for challenges led her to join debate competitions to improve her eloquence and to deliberate on global and intellectual issues. She is currently working on an assistive technology to help correct the gaits of patients with Parkinson’s Disease. In a few years, Ermyntrude will be creating self- controlled and user-friendly prostheses for bilateral or unilateral amputees. The world is surely going to be surprised at her!
