Judith Dembaremba is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Ashesi University, and is also finance major at Arizona State University through the International Accelerated Degree Program (IADP) . Her passion lies in helping others achieve their goals and in financial inclusion. Judith is interested in using financial modeling to assist businesses in the informal sector to find ways to manage their financial information. Additionally she desires to improve asset management and wealth creation in informal businesses. To gain relevant experience, she volunteered as an intern for AgriSan in March 2020. At AgriSan, she was responsible for research and writing blogs on member’s activities relating to women empowerment in farming and financial literacy. In 2019, she worked as a research intern exploring financial inclusion in Sub Saharan Africa. Dembaremba hopes to continue researching on how to enhance financial inclusion in Sub Saharan Africa through platforms such as mobile money. She also worked as an intern at a Developmental Microfinance Institution in Zimbabwe, where she designed an orientation program to assist new interns and employees. At Ashesi University Judith worked as a member of the Ashesi Design: Lab where she was involved in the Sankofa project that sought to solve the problem of electronic waste in Agbobloshie, a scrapyard in Ghana. As well as a shop attendant at the Ashesi Shop, she was also an Ashesi ambassador to various visitors in the souvenir shop. Judith hopes to become a financial expert in the future. The most important objective in her life is to help people around her by choice or destiny to meet their goals.
