I envision a world where access to better and quality education will not be only for the privileged few but for all no matter the race or cultural orientation and gender. The world cannot be without an educated populace, therefore we can only strive to create a world where quality education will be accessible and not a constant struggle.

As a child growing up in North Suntreso, Joseph Appiah had always been passionate about achieving a higher education. In pursuit of this dream, he is currently pursuing a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at KNUST and very much excited to further his studies at Arizona State University under the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. He envisions a world where access to quality education will not have to be a   struggle. His passion for equal quality education led him to volunteer for an organization that organizes private classes for less endowed students pro bono. Joseph Appiah shares the idea of Nelson Mandela who reiterates the preeminence of education by stating that, “Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world”. In line with this ideology, he is a member of Team SOS, an organization formed by some students of KNUST with the agenda of empowering and motivating students to rethink and shape a better Ghana through education. Prior to his admission into the university, he was a tutor in a private school where he had the honors of being awarded as the overall best teacher. In furtherance of his passion to advocate for equal quality education for all, he desires to become a lecturer in the future to push that agenda in his country. He believes a world without an educated populace is impossible and therefore we can strive to create a world where access to quality education will not be a privilege to the few.
