I envision a world where people will develop a passion for volunteerism and willingly support one another without the expectation for rewards (financial or any other forms).

Armandine Joana Afua Amessouwoe is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar currently studying for a Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Ashesi University. She is participating in the International Accelerated Degree Program (IADP) pursuing a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University. Joana aims to contribute to the installation of renewable energy technologies and design of efficient power grids in Ghana and other countries after her internship experience with SMEC Ghana. During her internship,Joana has acquired skills in engineering project management, such as in the constructions of Pokuase and Kasoa Bulk Supply Points and LV bifurcations projects. She values diversity and she aspires to work with people from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. Joana is an amazing multitasker. In Ashesi University, she served as Calculus Tutor, Berekuso French project Lead, Ashesi French Club Founder and President, Ashesi on-campus Resident Assistant, AIX 2019 robotics module Coach among other roles. Her motivation is that she is where she is today through the support of many caring people who volunteered their time to share information and knowledge to others in their communities. Joana happily shares credible opportunities she comes across with others and guides them to apply for the opportunities. She envisions a world where people will genuinely volunteer and support one another regardless of their background or circumstances.
