Batusua Biduaya Gracia is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems at Ashesi University. She came to Arizona State University to pursue a master’s degree in Information Management System. She Grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo where she studied in French all her life. She learned English for six months before joining Ashesi University in 2017 and improved her English proficiency while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Gracia is passionate about Education and teaching; she likes cultures and engaging with others. In 2018, She founded "Education for all," a project in which she raises awareness about Tertiary scholarships opportunities to High school students in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A project she is a Millennium Fellow Class of 2018. In 2019, she served as a Faculty Intern with the Ashesi Berekuso Project, where she taught French to the Berekuso High school students in Ghana. Gracia participated in the Ashesi Innovation Experience (AIX) 2019 as an Entrepreneurship Coach. From August 2019 till the current pandemic situation, she interned as a work-study at the Office of Diversity and International Programs at Ashesi University. She continues to teach one or two things in English to interested francophones via zoom as a subprogram of the "Education for all" project. Gracia envisions a world where the system in place and institutions give everyone the chance to succeed and a world that breaks the standards and believes in everyone's potential.
