Being a Mastercard Foundation Scholar is being a part of a cohort of transformational leaders whose shared experiences help foster your own narrative.

 

 

Futuristic, Harmony, and Learner are the three words to describe Emmanuel Brefo. Inspired by his personal life experiences and the lives of great leaders, especially Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Marva Collins, Emmanuel has set himself up towards a path of success. Emmanuel believes in a world where opportunities are limitless. These beliefs and values have informed his decisions and actions for effecting change in his community. Emmanuel’s idea of a better world and a better tomorrow has influenced his charitable works. He has involved himself in several projects that aim to better the lives of the people around him and his community including co-founding an educational consult and volunteering to teach impoverished high school students. His community involvement and leadership has led him to receive several awards for his service. He is passionate about poverty eradication through the sharing of useful information. He has a firm stance that advocating for financial literacy can usher the foundation of sustainable development of his country and Africa. He hopes to be an inspiration to the people of his community as he intends to be a financial analyst and an academic that forces a change in his community. He plans to work with institutions whose mandate is in line with his vision for poverty eradication in his community.
