Being a Mastercard Foundation Scholar to me means getting the opportunity to be in a community where I can contribute to the transformation my country and continent in any possible way I can. To serve as a role model to the upcoming generation and to uphold the values of integrity, honesty, excellence and be a transformative leader in anywhere I find myself.

Ibrahim describes himself as a life-long learner who is passionate about improving the quality of education in his community and loves to work on projects geared toward educating young people in STEM-related fields. He has an industrious and goal-driven personality, with a desire to pursue inclusive, sustainable, and clean development coupled with his entrepreneurship and leadership skills. During his stay in KNUST, he was the Academic Excellence chairperson for NSBE-KNUST, and the Vice President of the Association of Muslim Students in Engineering. He was also a peer counselor with the KNUST Counseling Center during his stay in KNUST. He also  led a team of students to develop a medical device that  diagnoses anemia in children and pregnant women using heartbeat sounds. Ibrahim is very committed to helping a lot of people live more meaningful and healthy lives. He dreams to see, in the next two decades, the most deficient 10% of the world (especially in Africa) be able to afford the healthcare that the wealthiest 5% have today.  Therefore, his greatest aspiration is to leverage his skills of entrepreneurial design and his education as a biomedical engineering student, to invent technology-based solutions that address health problems in the aims of saving  the lives of billions of people for generations to come.
