5Being a Mastercard Foundation Scholar means being a responsible person and looking out for the world. We should make changes to benefit not just our immediate surroundings but the world at large, serve as role models, mentors and bring up others to continue a great course.
Derrick has professional experience working in both public and private sectors. He gained finance and accounting experience working at the Ghana Audit Service, in addition to marketing and sales experience at Fidelity Bank where he became the top sales ambassador in his first month. Additionally, he completed an internship with the Ga East Municipal Assembly in Accra, Ghana where he completed administrative assignments and lead community clean-up organizing efforts. Derrick also gained leadership experience as a Class Representative at KNUST. Derrick is currently in a consulting class providing real-life ideas to organizations in improving performance. Derrick is a perpetual optimist seeking challenging opportunities to compliment his graduate studies, so he can pursue a career as a management consultant working with international organizations and giving back to his community and beyond.
