Changemakers are philanthropists and innovators who focus on transforming the world around them into a better place for all. To me, a changemaker is a person who prioritizes the well-being of others, takes responsibilities, grasps opportunities, and comes from any walk of life and from anywhere on the planet.

Hussein Atta Amoako is a Ghanaian who resides in Berekum in the Bono region of Ghana. He recently completed his third year of bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Hussein is a dedicated and passionate young man who puts his best foot forward when participating in any challenge. He is passionate about influencing positive societal change by empowering youth in education, leadership, and innovation. Hussein believes making education accessible to all in society is a major tool to alleviate poverty. He believes that as individuals put their acquired knowledge to practice we can collectively solve persistent and recurrent problems. Pursuing these passions challenges Hussein to acquire professional knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering, focusing specifically on machine designing and fabrication. His recent projects were the desalination and energy producing device which employs low-cost solutions to energy challenges in many African towns situated along the coast. He has also worked on a  mechanized seed sowing machine for farmers to help improve productivity in the agricultural sector. Hussein is adept at teamwork and team coordination, skills he achieved whilst serving as the general house supervisor for Thomas Jonah House at Adisadel College. He also served as a team leader, working with a surfeit of individuals from different backgrounds on projects related to agriculture and energy. Hussein aims at becoming a problem-solving engineer, improving and finding sustainable ways to provide cutting edge technology for the global populace. Seeing engineers as the builders of civilization and in his efforts to live a meaningful life in society, he aspires to be part of the fraternity of civilization building.
