Being a Changemaker means using your ideas or skills to lead an initiative that will bring about a positive and lasting change in your community.

Josephine Asare is an industrious and affectionate person who is studying Business Administration (Logistics and Supply Chain Option) under the MasterCard Foundation in Arizona State University (ASU) where she hopes to complete her undergraduate degree program and a one-year accelerated master’s degree in Global Logistics. Miss Josephine has undergone an internship with South Akim Rural Bank and Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) where she learned about corporate ethics, how to ensure good interpersonal relationship through effective communication and the value of teamwork in the corporate environment. Her community commitment influenced her to engage in a volunteering activity with Little Flower Foundation which reaches out to the poor and the aged to provide necessities such as food and clothing to promote socio-economic development in her community. She has also engaged in a communal exercise that had a focus on ensuring a clean environment to promote good health and as a way to foster unity among the youth in her community. She sees herself as a role model and a beacon of hope to the young girls in her community through her zeal towards community service. She believes that the little effort she demonstrates in her community can also be a driving force to make it a better place in the future.
