7I envision a world where opportunities are made available to everyone regardless of age, race, religion and gender. Also a world where people are aware of the repercussions of their actions and conduct themselves in ways that promote sustainability.
Sibongile hopes to help resuscitate the industrial sector in Zimbabwe, her home country, by making use of her expertise as an engineer as well as her entrepreneurial skills. She believes that Africa's resuscitation lies in the innovative application of science and engineering knowledge in ways that promote sustainability. Sibongile is also passionate about photography and hopes to channel her skills to changing the narrative about Africa through storytelling. She blogs in her spare time. Sibongile has experience under the Education-USA as an intern at the United States Embassy. Her role was to manage the library resources. During the summer of 2018, she interned at the Zimbabwe Power Station (Bulawayo Power Station) under the Mechanical Maintenance Department. Her duties entailed maintenance of the station’s equipment to ensure optimal performance of the power plant.
