I consider myself a change maker. For me, this is more of an attitude than a title; an attitude that actively seeks out gaps in society and tries to fill them.

Service, Justice, and Compassion are the values that truly define Aline. Aline Utuje is an aspiring product design engineer who completed the first three years of her undergraduate education at Ashesi University in Ghana. She is currently at Arizona State University where she will complete her fourth year and a master’s in mechanical engineering as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. She values diversity in her experiences, and in that regard, she combines her passion for engineering with dance and fashion modeling. This combination of analytical and creative experiences gives her a unique and exciting perspective when it comes to problem-solving. Being a lifelong learner and a global citizen, she is a leader at Future of Africa, an NGO that grooms the children that live in street situations in Ghana to transform their lives and help them become young leaders. An opportunity such as the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship have given her a chance to recognize some challenges facing her community and help in solving them. She is dedicated in helping teen moms in Rwanda by giving them a chance to education again and a platform to express themselves.
